I also decided to pick up the lip glosses that come in the can especially since one of my favorite images and or paintings of Andy Warhol is the 100 CAMPBELL'S SOUP CANS. 

This offers 5 small lip glosses.  These are for the most part pink and nude shades.  This retails for 55 US dollars.  The glosses do not have a noticeable scent and are not sticky.

I cant say I liked the applicator though they are far too small to apply the color on smoothly.

Andy Warhol was  a major contributor to the POP ART movement of the 60's.  Pop art images were of popular subjects of the times ie soup cans! 

As an artist, I am very familiar with Warhol, so you can imagine I was very excited to learn Nars was introducing a limited edition Andy Warhol collection. 

This particular palette is the Debbie Harry Palette.  Debbie Harry was the lead singer in the very popular New Wave or Punk Rock band of the 80's known as BLONDIE!

This is an exclusive SEPHORA palette selling for 65 US dollars.  There are 4 eye shadows, one blush and a highlight.  All the shades in this palette are extremely glittery but from what i have read on the sephora website there is a reason for that and i quote "Reinterpreting the glamour and grit of Debbie Harry’s downtown scene, this audacious palette of shimmering shadows and blushes was created exclusively for Sephora. Inspired by Andy Warhol’s use of Diamond Dust, this sultry spectrum sparkles with shimmer and micronized diamond powder."
 
I have to admit the quality of these shades are not the best...

Mac Cosmetics Marilyn Monroe Haul/Swatches

 


I usually get invitations to exclusive viewing of special collections with MAC but I never go because I would just go by myself and that's just no fun...right?! 

But for the sake of my blog, I decided to attend the MARILYN MONROE special invitation viewing.

Anyone can be invited as long as you register on the MAC website you will get invitations to RSVP for special collections and if you love MAC it's free to register so what are ya waiting for?! ;D

This wasn't a particularly large collection and to be very honest only a few things caught my attention.  I finally went with two lip colors and one blush.  The lipsticks were $16.50 US each and the blush 22 US dollars.  The actual release date for this collection in the US is the first week of October.

CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE VELVET LUMINOUS MATTE LIP COLOUR

This is one of the  limited edition colors. "Part of the limited-edition LES TWIN-SETS DE CHANEL Collection, created exclusively for Fashion’s Night Out."   This particular one is a nude beige, a great 'your lips but better' color.  This is a matte color.   It feels great when applying on my lips.  I find myself reapplying just because I like the smooth velvety feel.

After about an hour my lips did begin to feel very dry, however that's very common with matte lip shades.  If you were looking to purchase this particular color you can find it directly on the Chanel website Rouge Allure Velvet - La Delicate.  Otherwise you will have to actually visit or call your local department store, that carry Chanel, to see if they still have it in stock. 

My overall impression... I LOVE IT!  I Love the color, how it feels and the packaging is super chic!

TARTE WATER PROOF BLACK EYELINER

Ok so after a VERY long party hiatus i'm actually going out. 

So I figured I have to do it up and make myself look HAUTE.   That requires a wicked smokey eye which needs a what?! a really kick ass BLACKEST BLACK eye liner.

After much research, on my favorite website sephora.com, I decided on the TARTE water proof clay eyeliner. 

This eyeliner is VERY black.  Its glides on so nicely, very creamy and pigmented  WOW, its lovely I was loving it.  It comes with a dual sided brush and retails for 22 US dollars. (the brush is just ok, does the job if you dont own one)  It also stood in place ALL day it did not budge on me at all.  I have very oily lids and normally liners will transfer onto my eye lids, this did not.

However sadly for some reason my eyes did NOT react well to this liner.  If you have highly sensitive eyes like myself proceed with caution!

After application my eyes started to get slightly red and as the day went by my lids began to get puffy.  Now please do note everyone will react to things differently.  So I do not want to dissuade anyone from trying this liner.  I feel it necessary to share so you know what may occur.  If it weren't for the pesky irritation,  I would totally rock this liner.  I really liked the look it created.

Hello Kitty Whoot Whoot

 

I am always on the hunt for HELLO KITTY things... so I was browsing Etsy one day for anything Hello Kitty and I came across these AWESOME hand knit/crochet Hello Kitties with all different kinds of costumes.  I just loved them! 

There are a varitey of different Hello Kitties with animal costumes and since I just LOVE owls I asked the seller If she could make an owl... she said YES! 

 

These are 6 inches tall and most have movable hoods.  They retail for $30 US dollars and are made by hand with lots of love.
