NAKED! THE URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTES!

... what? what were you thinking?! PERVERTS ;p

So any way, i'm really late getting into these, but I finally did.  I actually had picked up the  NAKED 2 first when it came out and although I was super pleased with the creaminess I wasn't super thrilled with how the colors looked at me. I barely reached for it... BUT i wasn't getting any other palettes cause these puppies are expensive.  

However, as time went by, I started learning what colors looked best on me w/ my complexion.  Thanks to youtube Ive learned alot.  (As i have mentioned many times im new to makeup even though im 'older' so I need all the help I can get.)  So one day i decided to play around with the original UD naked @ sephora and BAM!.  

The colors of the first UD Naked palette definitely work better with my medium skin tone.  Warmer colors definitely look better on me.

Side note: I gifted the Naked 2 to my mom she was super thrilled! 

 

 

I do however love the CHOPPER color! I WILL be purchasing that one separate.  Its a gorgeous copper/rose.  AND IM OBSESSED WITH ROSE GOLD especially for the summer

Common courtesy and human decency just dont exist.

   

Has it ever?... im not to sure about that...

it would be unfair for me to clump the whole world into that statement, surely somewhere it still exists... 

I cant speak for other countries cause ive never been there... nor can I speak for other states cause i don't live there... BUT this city here... THIS city where i reside... if you should come across it you'll be a lucky soul cause common, basic, human decency or 'love' don't live in this town.

Many years ago there was a woman sitting on a subway bench. She was isolated on that bench because she was homeless.  She was crying... many people passed her,  most people just gawked at her,  but not a single person reached out to her.  not a one. Whatever circumstances got her to where she was didn't make her less of a human being. 

There was something in me that felt the need to somehow reach out to her in someway so i gave her the only thing i had to offer ... Not a wad of money or even a bit a change. Just a tissue.  I wish i had stuck around a little longer, but i didn't.  But inside, i hoped she knew, it wasn't just a tissue i gave her but the 'something' in me that felt compelled by her circumstances, her sadness, her tears that made me stop at all to offer her a 'token' of simple human kindness... true story

SUMMER FAVORITES PART DEUX

The stuff I forgot...

How can you have a summer favorites without a bathing suit!?!

Let's face it as women its not easy finding a flattering bathing suit you actually LOVE.  

Since im not completely satisfied with my current body weight (stay tuned for the newest program i purchased to help me get out of the plateau I have hit in my weight loss journey) I wanted a one- piece suit with a pattern I would enjoy looking at  
               - minus the floral please blehhh. (just my personal preference at this time)

So I finally found it at one of my new favorite stores... TOPSHOP!

I hate bathing suits with straps. I always end up pulling the straps down to get an even tan on top.  So i'm always on the search for bandeaus and this suit was perfect... pretty pattern... fairly affordable... decent fabric... and NO STRAPS! + 10% off with a student id... woot woot

MINNIE MOUSE OPI COLLECTION

I Finally Found Em!

The Minnie Mouse OPI collection has been out since the beginning of June.  I have searched and searched for them.  I did NOT want to buy them online and pay shipping.

Ever since my boyfriend gifted me the WHOLE OPI Muppet Collection, i have been a bit obsessed with having polishes from certain collections.  This was definitely one of them who hasn't grown up with Mickey and Minnie or watched at some point The Mickey Mouse club or the Disney Channel.

The 4th I couldn't find.  I didn't feel too bad about that because I have a polish I picked up from forever21 that is very similar to it with heart glitters.  I paid 7.49 for each OPI polish (the price does slightly vary from store to store.) If you are able to find the Forever21 polish that was only 2.80 ohh yeahhhhhh

All polishes have been applied with 2 coats no base or top coat 

 

 

 

HAPPY 4TH 2012

It's the 4TH OF JULY! And to get into the spirit (plus I was really bored) I decided to join a contest on INSTAGRAM.

All we were required to do was show patriotism with makeup, nails or an outfit. So I found one of my US FLAG scarves from Free People, used some colored eyeliners to paint a flag on my lid and wala!
