My sister invited me to go to the
🍦 MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM 🍦
in NYC. She bought the tickets off of someone who couldn't make it last minute. I had no idea what to expect!
But i quickly learned it was a bit popular and all SOLD OUT.
The area it was in is my fav... the meatpacking district. Side note you guys this is where the new Whitney museum was moved to about a year ago. Smart move on their part, because the meat packing district is a fun, young, and hip area to be in and there is soooo much to do and see.
IE: the high line, major shopping, a million galleries etc etc
(please note I use the past tense on this post because its a "pop up" "museum" and only around till Sept 10th 2016... i think)
The tickets were 18 bucks each. The wait in line was much longer than your walk through inside. It took longer inside though because they gather you up into small groups and keep you from advancing into the other rooms until the group ahead of you is done.
Honestly i was like "um thats it?! 😶"
But you do get to taste a cup of ice-cream when you first walk in (i learned later the ice creams change daily. Like one day it was an ice cream sandwich, the next its blah blah blah) and at the end you get a cone with no sprinkles. I think that was because they used all the sprinkles for the sprinkles pool. Just kidding its not real sprinkles but little bits of colorful plastic. 😜
The Whitney is right next door. That's 18 bucks (for students) and probably a better deal but whatevers i had a nice bonding time with my sister.
What I'm trying to say is if you missed it don't feel bad you didn't miss much i promise. Just IG #museumoficecream
and you'll feel like you were there.

The sprinkles pools. You had to take off your shoes for whatever reason it grossed me out thinking of all those feet 😖. So i passed on this (animals faces for the strangers protection ha ha) |
