D'Blanc Sonic Bloom Sunglasses

I was looking for a new pair of glasses for this summer 2016.  I own one pair I absolutely LOVE and highly recommend the Ray-Bans silver frames with black lens aviators. So anyways, I wanted a pair of gold framed sunglasses. 

I found this brand on IG and I totally fell in love with these 70's inspired D'blanc sunglasses in model Sonic Bloom.  They come in different colors but I chose the Gold frames with slight green tinted lenses.  These retail for 170 US dollars.  I wasn't charged tax or shipping. That's pretty awesome.  

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE the sunglasses. They are light weight and totally rocking and the prices is right.  What I wasn't impressed with though, honestly was presentation. Sorry guys but if you read through my blog posts,  presentation and packaging are very big here.  And these glasses came with neither.  Packaging/Presentation totally adds to the whole experience and even though these are very affordable they are still 170 bucks. 

They came in a small box in a plastic baggy for protection.  The case holder, the sonic blooms come in, in one word are terrible.  I would definitely recommend you buy your own.  I recommend the Rebecca Minkoff ones.   The case provided is a strange material that offers no protection and will attract all kinds of dirt, hairs, lint etc.  

However, I do still recommend these folks.  They are good quality, fast shipping and they look awesome on.  I purchased these myself of course and before hand I emailed them several times and each time I got a quick respond.

NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN CORPSE FLOWER

The Corpse flower bloomed this weekend.  Im so lucky to live down the block and over the bridge by the #NYBG.  Especially since these large plants generally  bloom every 7-10 years.  

Its called the corpse flower/plant because it is supposed to smell horrible sorta like a corpse (duh) but it didn't really.  If you get close enough though what you smell is garbage or like a hot, sweaty day on 42nd & 8th Ave in #NYC. 

I'm glad I waited on line for 1 1/2 hours in the hot summer day with the sun hitting on me and no water.  Trust me I'm not complaining but i should have been better prepared.

This palette is really pretty actually.  All four shades have a matte finish.  They blendable and very neutral undertones to all four shades (at least i think so) and i would imagine it would look pretty on most people. 

The red shade is pretty and i also should it as blush! Looks great i will definitely enjoy this much more in the coming weeks as Fall enters. 

This palette comes with a hefty price.  I mean its Chanel however i actually recommend this one. Its unique, good quality, nicely pigmented and blends well.  The lightest color in this quad matches me perfectly so you can barely see it on me but that doesn't mean its not pigmented. 

If you just cant bring yourself to pay the hefty Chanel price or just cant for just four shades, i found that the newest Anastasia palette is pretty similar to the Chanel 268 quad.  Please note i am not saying its a dupe.  Just similar in color family.   This is the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette which retails for 42 US dollars + tax and you get 14 shades. 

Minnie lip smacker tsum tsum

I saw I bought The End.  Its too cute not to buy right?! and i am a big Minnie fan.  Well a big Disney fan actually.  This is actually a lip smacker or basically a lip balm.  I found it in walgreens.  I have to say this little thing is rather heavy AND when i opened it i had a "where's the beef???" moment.  Y'all the actual lip balm is tiny!  

It smells like artificial cherries or maybe its strawberry i cant tell but its not terrible in my humble opinion.  Walgreens is selling it for 4.95 + tax.  Ive seen other places sell it for more!  Any ways 'im looking for the Aristocats kitty one and Dumbo.

BALLET FLATS TREND FOR STREET WEAR

For as long as i can remember i have been infatuated with ballet.  I wanted to be a ballerina but i was a thick little Spanish girl from the South Bronx in the 80's.  There was no ballet for thick little Spanish girls from the South Bronx back then.

I was exposed Ballet from watching Sesame Street and from this daycamp i use to go to in Harlem called the Upward Fund. 

Anyways the infatuation has never left me.  Ive been to ballets a few times and Ive bought Ballet workout DVD's to make me feel like a ballerina lol.   So you guys im all too happy ballet items are becoming a trend.  

The first sight of ballet shoes as street wear was with Miu Miu.  I wanted them so bad but come on 620 US dollars?  I cant hack that!  So i give a big thank you to Zara for the pretty knock offs for 59.90.  

AND GUESS WHAT! Now everyone is coming out with their versions of ballet shoes for street wear!  Check out the Valentino ones!  OMG the ballet boots are to die for but of course they are out of my price range for 995 US dollars.

Soooo like oh my gosh this new bag strap trend is like so cool right??!! :P

I'm loving it!!!  Fendi, MCM, Prada and Rebecca Minkoff (there might be other brands i just don't know about yet.)  

Well they are all like super expensive from 268 to 700.  Um no thank you!  So when i found this Rebecca Minkoff purse strap for 95 US dollars i was super ecstatic.  

But and there is a big BUT... its way too long and way too wide.  Im 5'4 and it went way past my butt.  The strap is so wide it doesn't sit comfortably on my shoulder booooo.  This will definitely go back, unfortunately,  but if you're interested here is the direct link ----> http://www1.bloomingdales.com

Little back story... So i had bought a preloved gucci tapestry Hysteria bag.  But it didn't come with its original strap hence why I'm looking for a kick ass strap to use with it.  You guys this bag is gorgeous!  I love love love anything tapestry.  I owe that to my love of art/pre/medieval/victorian art.  But the handles are getting ruined.  I really need to find a strap asap.
